A group home is a residential environment where residents are able to live and receive care & support. Group homes often have specific groups to which they cater to, including but not limited to: those in need of behavioral and mental health support, those who cannot afford to live on their own, and adolescents without a permanent home environment.
The amount of people who live in a group home will circumstantially vary, but can commonly range from 3-15 individuals.
A child can stay at Found Family Group Homes until they are returned back to their family, placed into a new family, or until they are a legal adult.
Owners, supervisors, and staff are responsible for providing services at the group home. Services include assisting with day to day home life tasks such as meal prep, chores, schoolwork, supporting interpersonal interactions, & provision of resources including emotional and behavioral health measures.
